31 Best Korean Dramas From 2015

Best Korean Drama 2015

I’m going to list down the best Korean dramas from 2015.

I don’t think I really have certain categories to quantify which one should be on my list.

These are just my opinions of which K-dramas that were aired in 2015 that I enjoyed watching.

Here is my recommended list of the best Korean dramas from 2015.

1. Second 20s

Second 20s is also known as Twenty years Old for the Second Time.

It’s listed as a comedy and romance drama.

It originally aired from August 2015 to October 2015 for 16 episodes in tvN.

The show starred Choi Ji-woo and Lee Sang-yoon.

Second 20s managed to get an average national audience share of 5.42% according to AGB Nielsen.

Second Time Twenty Years Old Korean Drama 2015

I enjoy watching these kinds of romantic dramas that are light-hearted and have happy endings.

Although the story is not as deep as other Korean dramas, you may also tend to look forward to the next episode.

I usually watch these old dramas 1 episode a day but I ended binge-watching the whole series for 3 days.

This means I really like the show.

If you haven’t watched Twenty Years Old for the Second Time yet, I recommend watching it.

2. Angry Mom

Angry Mom is a Korean Drama that was first aired on March 2015 to May 2015 for 16 episodes on MBC.

It’s listed in the genres of drama, family, and teen.

The lead stars are Kim Hee-sun and Kim Yoo-jung.

Angry Mom was able to get 8% for its nationwide audience share according to AGB Nielsen.

Angry Mom Korean Drama 2015

I enjoyed watching Angry Mom.

Both Kim Hee-sun and Kim Yoo-jung looked beautiful which I think added to the appeal for me watching the whole series.

Besides the story is entertaining, I also like that it has some life-lessons here.

I will rate this as 4 of 5 stars. You definitely need to add this to your list of Korean dramas from 2015 to watch.

3. Assembly

Assembly is a Korean drama that initially aired from July 2015 to September 2015 for 20 episodes on KBS 2TV.

It is under the genre of political drama.

The stars that led the show are Jeong Jae-yeong and Song Yoon-ah.

Assembly managed to receive an average of 5.3% for its nationwide viewership rating according to AGB Nielsen.

Assembly Korean Drama 2015

I really enjoyed watching the Assembly.

I’m starting to be a fan of both lead actors Jeong Jae-yeong and Song Yoon-ah.

I’m going to look forward now to Korean dramas that they’re in.

I like it when the good guys band together to defeat the bad guys.

My rating for Assembly is 5 of 5 stars.

It made me look forward to the next episode and enough even to want to binge-watch the whole series in 1 seating.

It’s definitely one of my must-watch 2015 Korean dramas.

Blood Korean Drama 2015

4. Blood

Genre: Action, Comedy, Medical, Melodrama, Romance, Suspense, Thriller, Vampire
Number of Episodes: 20
Original Network: KBS
Original Air Dates: February 2015 to April 2015
Lead Stars: Ku Hye-sun, Ahn Jae-hyun
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: 4.7%
My Rating: 3 out of 5 Stars

PROs

  • I like Jung Hye-sung. I hope she gets lead roles next time.
  • Ku Hye-sun’s character became a little more likable for me as the Kdrama develops.
  • There are some sweet moments here and there if you’re a big fan of these scenes in Kdramas.
  • The last 6 or 7 episodes might be the most interesting to watch for me.

CONs

  • It just became more interesting in the 2nd half of the series. It was a struggle for me to continue or stop watching the K-drama for the first 3 to 5 episodes.
  • It doesn’t feel right for me when the main antagonist is a known killer without remorse and the main protagonists are just calm working with him.
  • It’s sad to see that the guy sidekick had to die near the end.
  • The ending looks bad for me. They killed the main protagonist to show a dramatic effect and then showed him alive in the last scene of the last episode to give it a happier ending.

When I first saw Blood, I thought that this Korean drama will be something amazing.

But it became something I watched just to look forward to how it will end.

Although I had somewhat a lot of CONs on my list for Blood, I still ended up completely watching the series.

So I gave this 2015 Korean drama a 3 out of 5 stars rating.

Provided that you’re not a big fan of the actors and is just a Korean drama viewer, I’ll only add this to my list if I’m running out of good ones to watch.

Special note on this. I just realized that Jung Hae-in is in this Kdrama as a supporting role. He’s a bigshot actor now as leads to some successful Kdramas.

Cheer Up Korean Drama 2015

5. Cheer Up!

Alternative Titles: Sassy, Go Go
Genre: Drama, Romance, School, Sports, Teen, Youth
Number of Episodes: 12
Original Network: Korean Broadcasting System
Original Air Dates: October 2015 to November 2015
Lead Stars: Jung Eun-ji, Lee Won-keun
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: 3.4%
My Rating: 4 of 5

PROs:

  • I like most of the actors in this 2015 Korean Drama. Cheer Up! has Ji Soo, Chae Soo-bin, In Gyo-jin, Kim Yeo-jin, and Lee Won-keun. Although Jung Eun-ji is also good in this drama, I still think of her as a singer from APink.
  • The music or sound tracks are also good in this KDrama.

CONs:

  • Nothing much to tell you about this.

More on Cheer Up!

I enjoyed watching this kind of light-hearted dramas. You’re not too stressed about the plot.

It’s different from shows that you’re always looking forward to the next episode as to what will happen next. This is kind of just going with the flow and watching it enjoyably until the last episode.

There are some cringy parts but it should be expected since it’s in a high-school environment.

I’ll definitely recommend adding Cheer Up! to your list of Korean dramas that you should watch from 2015.

However, it has a low rewatch score for me.

Cheo Yong Season 2 2015 Korean Drama

6. Cheo Yong Season 2

Alternative Titles: Ghost-Seeing Detective Cheo-yong
Genre: Action, Crime, Detective, Horror, Mystery, Supernatural, Thriller
Number of Episodes: 10
Original Network: Orion Cinema Network
Original Air Dates: August 2015 to October 2015
Lead Stars: Oh Ji-ho, Jun Hyo-seong
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: N/A
My Rating: 3 of 5

PROs:

  • Oh Ji-ho looks like he’s made to do action genre dramas.

CONs:

  • It feels like there are some sloppy scenes in the whole series. An example is when Oh Ji-ho asks an officer to help her female partner while pointing the gun at the female partner.

More on Cheo Yong Season 2

It was fun watching the whole season 2 of Cheo Yong.

I’d still recommend this Korean drama to watch but only if you do not have any other Korean dramas on your list anymore.

It didn’t give me the feeling of wanting the next episodes but it was still fun watching it.

D-Day Korean Drama 2015

7. D-Day

Alternative Titles: N/A
Genre: Disaster, Drama, Medical, Romance
Number of Episodes: 20
Original Network: jTBC
Original Air Dates: September 2015 to November 2015
Lead Stars: Jung So-min, Kim Young-kwang
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: 1.17%
Favorite D-Day Character: Jung Ddol-mi
My Rating: 4 of 5

PROs:

  • Jung So-min is in this Korean drama.
  • Kim Young-kwang looks like a hero-like pure-hearted character. I like hero characters.
  • Has a happy ending.

CONs:

  • I don’t have anything that I really dislike about this KDrama.

More on D-Day

The whole series looked like it can be summarized and be recreated as a shorter movie.

I enjoyed watching D-Day especially when Jung So-min is on the screen. She’s one of my favorite Korean drama female actors.

This will definitely be added to my recommended Korean dramas list for 2015 but I don’t think that I’ll rewatch the whole series.

Divorce Lawyer In Love 2015 Korean Drama

8. Divorce Lawyer In Love

Alternative Titles: N/A
Genre: Comedy, Law, Romance
Number of Episodes: 18
Original Network: Seoul Broadcasting System
Original Air Dates: April 2015 to June 2015
Lead Stars: Cho Yeo-jeong, Yeon Woo-jin
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: 4.5%
Favorite Divorce Lawyer In Love Character: None
My Rating: 3 of 5

PROs:

  • Wang Ji-won is one of the actors in this Korean drama.
  • It ended happily.

CONs:

  • The first part of this 2015 KDrama was a bit boring for me and I just willed myself to continue watching this.

More on Divorce Lawyer In Love

This was a struggle for me to watch at the beginning. It only got interesting for me for maybe the last 5 to 8 episodes.

I may have been more interested if they structured the plot as showing the different situations of people who are undergoing or thinking of divorce.

More divorce cases within the story while developing the connection and relationship between the 2 leads.

Although I had issues at the start, I still end up completing the series which I can still call it watchable for me.

It was still fun watching it.

However, I can only recommend Divorce Lawyer In Love if you don’t have any other Korean dramas on your watch list.

Beating Again Korean Drama 2015

9. Beating Again

Alternative Titles: Falling In Love With Soon-jung, Falling For Innocence
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Melodrama, Romance
Number of Episodes: 16
Original Network: jTBC
Original Air Dates: April 2015 to May 2015
Lead Stars: Kim So-yeon, Jung Kyung-ho
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: N/A
Favorite Beating Again Character: Kang Min-ho
My Rating: 5 of 5

PROs:

  • There are lots of good moments between Kim So-yeon and Jung Kyung-ho.
  • Kim So-yeon is in this Korean drama.
  • It’s fun to watch and the drama scenes aren’t too heavy for my taste.
  • I like the sound tracks that were used.
  • A happy ending will always be a PRO for me.

CONs:

  • I didn’t notice anything that made me dislike this Kdrama.

More on Beating Again

I like Kim So-yeon. She’s not the prettiest or the best female actor in Korean dramas but there’s something in her aura that makes you want to watch her. It’s probably her natural charisma.

I gave this Kdrama a 5 out of 5 stars because it’s enjoyable to watch as well as it’s interesting that you’d want to watch the next episodes.

A few more factors for me that made me give Beating Again 5 stars is that I can binge-watch it and I think I’ll still enjoy rewatching the whole series.

I wasn’t able to check the nationwide rating for this Korean drama. I would’ve like to know if this was adored by the Koreans.

I highly recommend Beating Again as a must-watch Korean drama from 2015.

Heart To Heart Best Korean Dramas 2015

10. Heart To Heart

Alternative Titles: N/A
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Medical, Romance
Number of Episodes: 16
Original Network: tvN
Original Air Dates: January 2015 to March 2015
Lead Stars: Choi Kang-hee, Chun Jung-myung
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: 1.52%
Favorite Heart To Heart Character: Jang Doo-soo and Go Se-ro
My Score: 4 of 5

PROs:

  • This Korean drama has a happy ending.
  • Choi Kang-hee is very cute in her character.
  • Chun Jung-myung looks solid in his character.

CONs:

  • There’s nothing really bad to say about this Kdrama.

More on Heart To Heart

I think that Heart To Heart is a good Korean drama but this just doesn’t interest me too much.

I was going to give it just a 3 of 5 but I keep remembering how cute Choi Kang-hee looked in this Kdrama and how you can feel the hugs between the 2 main lead characters.

I also like the characters of Jang Doo-soo and Go Se-ro which at times I would even look forward to their scenes more.

These are just some reasons why I upgraded my score to a 4.

There will most likely more people who would like this Korean drama compared to me.

I’ll happily recommend Heart To Heart for those looking for a good Korean drama from 2015.

High Society Best Korean Dramas 2015

11. High Society

Alternative Titles: The Privileged
Genre: Comedy, Melodrama, Romance
Number of Episodes: 16
Original Network: Seoul Broadcasting System
Original Air Dates: June 2015 to July 2015
Lead Stars: Uee, Sung Joon
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: 9.0%
Favorite High Society Character: Lee Ji-yi
My Score: 4 of 5

PROs:

  • I like Uee.
  • I like the soundtracks used.
  • It has a happy ending.

CONs:

  • There are no significant things that I don’t like about this Kdrama.

More on High Society

It’s fun watching this Korean drama. I guess a lot of people in South Korea also enjoyed watching it since it got a high 9% for its average national audience share.

Although I only know Uee from the cast, I still enjoyed the acting and the story. I especially like Lee Ji-yi who is the 2nd female lead character played by Lim Ji-yeon.

I don’t think that there are any heavy or stressful scenes from this Kdrama. It’s made for people to watch and enjoy.

I recommend watching High Society if you haven’t yet. It’s one of the good Korean dramas from 2015.

High-End Crush Best Korean Dramas 2015

12. High-End Crush

Alternative Titles: Clueless High Class, Unrequited Love, The Greatest One-Sided Love No One Has Ever Seen Before
Genre: Comedy, Romance
Number of Episodes: 20
Original Network: MBN, Naver TV Cast, Sohu
Original Air Dates: November 2015 to January 2016
Lead Stars: Jin Se-yeon, Jung Il-woo
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: Not Available
Favorite High-End Crush Character: Section chief Heo
My Score: 3 of 5

PROs:

  • The Korean drama was overall cute.
  • I like Lee Si-eon’s character here.
  • Jin Se-yeon looks beautiful on innocent-looking characters.
  • Yoon Bo-ra is here. I like her.

CONs:

  • I’m sometimes annoyed by Jung Il-woo’s character.

More on High-End Crush

I don’t think that there’s nothing much going on in this Kdrama however I still enjoyed it as it was not a pressure to watch the whole episodes. Each episode is just around 15 minutes long.

I think I kept on watching because of Jin Se-yeon and Lee Si-eon’s character.

If you’re running out of Korean dramas to watch, you can also add this 2015 Kdrama High-End Crush on your list.

Hogus Love Best Korean Dramas 2015

13. Hogu’s Love

Alternative Titles: Ho-goo’s Love, A Pushover’s Love, Fool’s Love
Genre: Comedy, Melodrama, Romance
Number of Episodes: 16
Original Network: tvN
Original Air Dates: February 2015 to March 2015
Lead Stars: Uee, Choi Woo-shik
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: 1.096%
Favorite Hogu’s Love Character: Kang Ho-kyung (Lee Soo-kyung)
My Score: 3 of 5

PROs:

  • Uee is part of the case in this 2015 Korean drama. I like her.
  • Has a happy ending.
  • Has good life lessons.

CONs:

  • Too many flashbacks for my taste. It feels like every scene has to have a flashback to explain to viewers what’s happening.
  • Male lead’s character is sometimes too annoying for me.

More on Hogu’s Love

I enjoyed watching Hogu’s Love probably because of Uee and Lee Soo-kyung.

It felt like watching a slice of life genre anime wherein I’m just watching days in the life of the main character with nothing much happening.

I really like Lee Soo-kyung’s character in this Korean drama which makes it fun to watch. I think I enjoyed here scenes more than those of the leads.

In the end, there are life lessons to be learned like speaking up if you’re assaulted and how loving a person should be no matter how it looks silly or too innocent.

I’d still recommend Hogu’s Love but only if you do not have any other Korean dramas to watch anymore.

Hyde Jekyll Me Best Korean Dramas 2015

14. Hyde, Jekyll, Me

Alternative Titles: Hyde, Jekyll and I
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Manga, Romance
Number of Episodes: 20
Original Network: Seoul Broadcasting System
Original Air Dates: January 2015 to March 2015
Lead Stars: Han Ji-min, Hyun Bin
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: 5.3%
Favorite Hyde, Jekyll, Me Character: Gu Seo-jin (Hyun Bin)
My Score: 4 of 5

PROs:

  • I like both Han Ji-min and Hyun Bin so it’s nice to see them in this Korean drama.
  • I also like Lee Hye-ri.
  • This Kdrama has good soundtracks that optimize the mood of the scene.

CONs:

  • Some parts where they swing from a very top building doesn’t look nice. Maybe they should’ve stuck to the laws of physics.
  • I don’t think that Hyun Bin is really good in acting cute. It seems that it’s too uncomfortable for him. It’s different from looking cute naturally as the situation shows it.

More on Hyde, Jekyll, Me

I enjoyed watching Hyde, Jekyll, Me but sometimes there are scenes that you don’t mind getting distracted to do something else.

There are some epic scenes which I like and the suspense of the story was interesting.

It feels that it lost its steam when the main culprit was already found out who he is.

You’ll probably enjoy watching Hyde, Jekyll, Me if you haven’t yet.

I Remember You Best Korean Dramas 2015

15. I Remember You

Alternative Titles: Hello Monster, Remember You
Genre: Comedy, Mystery, Police, Romance, Thriller
Number of Episodes: 16
Original Network: Korean Broadcasting System
Original Air Dates: June 2015 to August 2015
Lead Stars: Jang Na-ra, Seo In-guk, Park Bo-gum
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: 4.7%
Favorite I Remember You Character: None
My Score: 3 of 5

PROs:

  • Jang Na-ra is here.
  • Park Bo-gum is here.

CONs:

  • The thriller aspect of the Korean drama was not that much thrilling for me.
  • Hanging ending.

More on I Remember You

I think I made it through to the end of this Kdrama because of Jang Na-ra.

Initially, I thought that the show may have epic scenes because of Seo In-guk’s character. His first appearance was very interesting.

But as the show continued, it became less interesting especially when the main lead already knew who his father’s killer is but was still able to be very civil when he’s together with the killer.

Also, Jang Na-ra’s character, though seems strong-willed looks very weak. She’s either assaulted or kidnapped.

It would be great if her character was more “bad-ass”.

I think that I Remember You is the earliest Korean drama that I’ve seen Park Bo-gum in.

It’s nice that the 2 main leads became a couple in the end, but I don’t like it that they let the killer still roam around and is still free in the end.

It feels like this Korean drama under-performed. It could’ve been more interesting if they’ve added more epic scenes.

I’d still recommend I Remember You but only to Jang Na-ra fans like me. Only 3 stars out of 5.

So if you don’t have any other Korean dramas in your list, you can add this 2015 Kdrama.

Kill Me Heal Me Best Korean Dramas 2015

16. Kill Me, Heal Me

Alternative Titles: None
Genre: Comedy, Medical, Medical Drama, Melodrama, Mystery, Romance, Romantic Comedy, Suspense
Number of Episodes: 20
Original Network: MBC
Original Air Dates: January 2015 to March 2015
Lead Stars: Hwang Jung-eum, Ji Sung, Park Seo-joon
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: 10.1%
Favorite Kill Me, Heal Me Character: Perry Park (Ji Sung)
My Score: 4 of 5

PROs:

  • I like Ji Sung. He’s one of my favorite male Korean actors.
  • I also like Hwang Jung-eum. She’s one of my favorite female Korean actors.
  • Park Seo-joon was in this Korean drama.
  • The soundtracks are really good.
  • Ji Sung was amazing in portraying all the alter-egos of his character.
  • Kim Yoo-ri was very beautiful in this Kdrama.
  • The flashbacks and backstories were done tastefully in my opinion.
  • This Korean drama had a happy ending.

CONs:

  • I don’t think I have anything bad to say about this Korean drama that can ruin the experience of watching it.

More on Kill Me, Heal Me

I really liked watching Kill me, Heal me.

They had an amazing cast and what I think is a good story.

The actors are really good. When they’re sad, you’ll find yourself feeling sad as well.

I even felt really sad when my favorite character, Perry Park had to say goodbye.

The only reason that I’m giving this a 4 of 5 stars is that it doesn’t have the number of epic scenes that I’m looking for enough to motivate me to rewatch it.

However, it’s good enough to binge-watch it.

I highly recommend watching Kill Me, Heal Me from the Korean dramas that aired in 2015.

Last Best Korean Dramas 2015

17. Last

Alternative Titles: None
Genre: Action, Crime, Drama, Thriller
Number of Episodes: 16
Original Network: jTBC
Original Air Dates: July 2015 to September 2015
Lead Stars: Yoon Kye-sang, Seo Ye-ji
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: Not Available
Favorite Last Character: None
My Score: 3 of 5

PROs:

  • I like Seo Ye-ji.
  • Has a happy ending.
  • Dong Ha is in this Korean drama.

CONs:

  • No epic scenes.

More on Last

I had mixed thoughts if I should add Last in this list but I still ended up adding it since I was able to watch the entire series.

It had the potential of being an amazing Korean drama but I guess it stayed as only having potential.

This could’ve been an easy 5 stars for me if they’ve thought about adding some epic scenes here and there across all the episodes.

I can’t remember any as I write this review.

At times, I was just looking forward to scenes when Seo Ye-ji appears.

Some small things that I noticed that I can’t understand are when the main male lead was supposed to be dead but he has scenes where he’s just outside and just walking on the streets.

Also, with all the build-up to things they’ve done in the story, it still ended up with the main lead beating the main antagonist in a fistfight.

I just thought that they could’ve made it more unpredictable or more amazing in the end.

Still, if you have already watched all the other Kdramas out there, you can try watching Last.

Lets Eat 2 Best Korean Dramas 2015

18. Let’s Eat 2

Alternative Titles: None
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Food, Romance
Number of Episodes: 18
Original Network: tvN
Original Air Dates: April 2015 to June 2015
Lead Stars: Yoon Doo-joon, Seo Hyun-jin, Kwon Yul
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: 1.946%
Favorite Let’s Eat 2 Character: Goo Dae-young (Yoon Doo-joon)
My Score: 4 of 5

PROs:

  • I like how cute Seo Hyun-jin is in this Kdrama.
  • Happy ending.

CONs:

  • There’s nothing much to say here but don’t expect too much with the story.

More on Let’s Eat 2

Let’s Eat 2 seems to be your typical food drama where they highlight the foods that the characters eat.

I enjoyed watching this Korean drama. It’s like watching a slice-of-life genre anime wherein it always involves describing the food they eat.

The banters between Yoon Doo-joon and Seo Hyun-jin about how to eat the dish were enjoyable to watch fro me.

It’s light-hearted and easy to watch. Although, it’s sad that Kwon Yul was eventually dumped at the end for Yoon Doo-joon. It’s sad but I don’t really have complaints about it.

It’s a good light Kdrama to watch from 2015. I recommend adding it to your watch-list as well.

My Beautiful Bride Best Korean Dramas 2015

19. My Beautiful Bride

Alternative Titles: None
Genre: Action, Crime, Drama, Mystery, Romance
Number of Episodes: 16
Original Network: OCN
Original Air Dates: June 2015 to August 2015
Lead Stars: Kim Mu-yeol, Ko Sung-hee, Lee Si-young
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: 0.91%
Favorite My Beautiful Bride Character: Kim Do-hyung (Kim Mu-yeol)
My Score: 4 of 5

PROs:

  • I thought that the lead stars were really good in their characters here.
  • Happy ending.
  • Good action scenes.

CONs:

  • How the story ended or how the conflict ended was a bit lackluster for me.

More on My Beautiful Bride

I really like this Korean drama. I was about to give it a 5 but decided not to.

There were just not many epic scenes to make it still enjoyable even when rewatching the entire series.

Nevertheless, it’s a highly recommended Korean drama from 2015, in my opinion.

I was surprised that the AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating was only 0.91%. I expected it to be at least 5%.

I like the action scenes as well as Kim Mu-yeol’ character.

I guess I was attached to this Korean Drama because I like anime that’s based on heroes. This seems familiar and the same.

The scenes when Kim Mu-yeol and Ko Sung-hee are sad, you kind of feel their sadness and pain that comes with it.

Not to mention, Lee Si-young is here. I like her.

You should definitely watch My Beautiful Bride if you’re looking for KDramas to watch from 2015.

This Is My Love Best Korean Dramas 2015

20. This Is My Love

Alternative Titles: My Love Eun-dong, Eun-dong-ah, Whom I Love
Genre: Melodrama, Romance
Number of Episodes: 16
Original Network: JTBC
Original Air Dates: May 2015 to July 2015
Lead Stars: Kim Sa-rang, Joo Jin-mo
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: Not Available
Favorite This Is My Love Character: Ji Eun-ho/Park Hyun-soo (Joo Jin-mo)
My Score: 4 of 5

PROs:

  • Kim Sa-rang was really beautiful here.
  • Good acting by the actors in this Korean drama.
  • Good soundtracks.
  • All the female actors that played the female lead role (Seo Jung-eun/Ji Eun-dong) were all beautiful.
  • Happy ending.

CONs:

  • It sometimes feels like there’s nothing really going on and it made me think to just skip to the last episode and see what’s the ending.

More on This Is My Love

I enjoy melodrama-romance genres from time to time but it’s a bit harder to watch if comedy, action, or suspense isn’t added to the mix. This is just my preference though.

I like how Joo Jin-mo’s character loves Kim Sa-rang’s so much. Although, I’m a bit surprised by his assertiveness in some scenes.

It somewhat feels like how Kim Mu-yeol’s character in “My Beautiful Bride” loves Ko Sung-hee’s character but from a different perspective or setting.

I highly recommend watching This Is My Love if you’re searching for Korean dramas from 2015.

My Unfortunate Boyfriend Best Korean Dramas 2015

21. My Unfortunate Boyfriend

Alternative Titles: None
Genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance
Number of Episodes: 16
Original Network: MBC Plus
Original Air Dates: April 2015 to May 2015
Lead Stars: Yang Jin-sung, No Min-woo, Yoon Hak, Han Hye-rin
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: Not Available
Favorite My Unfortunate Boyfriend Character: None
My Score: 3 of 5

PROs:

  • Has a happy ending.
  • It’s a light-hearted Korean drama.
  • There are some funny scenes.
  • Park Jin-joo is in this Kdrama.

CONs:

  • Nothing much to say.

More on My Unfortunate Boyfriend

I enjoyed watching “My Unfortunate Boyfriend”. It’s easy to watch because it’s a light-hearted drama and also fun to watch because of some comic scenes.

I also thought that Yang Jin-sung was very beautiful here.

Having Park Jin-joo in this Korean drama was a big plus for me. She’s one of my favorite character-role actors.

Although she may not get many big lead roles, I hope that she gets plenty of projects. I really like watching her in Korean dramas.

I only gave it a 3 of 5 but I would lean it going to 4 but not enough to be a 4 for me. This is when I compare it with other Korean dramas that I gave 4 stars.

“My Unfortunate Boyfriend” is a good Kdrama to watch as a comic relief if you’re watching too many serious Korean dramas lately.

I recommend watching it.

Noble My Love Best Korean Dramas 2015

22. Noble, My Love

Alternative Titles: None
Genre: Comedy, Romance
Number of Episodes: 20
Original Network: Naver TV Cast
Original Air Dates: July 2015 to September 2015
Lead Stars: Sung Hoon, Kim Jae-kyung, Park Eun Suk, Kim Dong Suk
AGB Nielsen Average Nationwide Viewership Rating: Not Available
Favorite Noble, My Love Character: Lee Kang-hoon (Sung Hoon)
My Score: 4 of 5

PROs:

  • Episodes are only at 15 minutes.
  • Has a happy ending.

CONs:

  • I don’t remember anything that criticizes this Korean drama.

More on Noble, My Love

I think I like this Kdrama setup where there are about 20 episodes that are just 15 to 20 minutes long. These are easier to watch, especially when binge-watching them.

It reminds me of watching anime series. These also only have 15 to 20-minute episodes.

I enjoyed the cute and comic scenes of “Noble, My Love”.

Sung Hoon looks to fit chaebol or rich corporate characters. It’s probably because of his serious look, body-build, and the sound of his voice.

I think I first saw him in the Korean variety show “Cool Kiz on the Block”, the swimming series.

I would’ve just given it a 3 of 5 but the format of being just around 20 minutes per episode and still not lacking substance was a big plus for me.

I recommend watching “Noble, My Love” from Korean dramas that first aired in 2015.

Park Bo-young is probably the cutest female Korean actor in Kdramas.

More on Oh My Venus

I enjoyed watching “Oh My Venus”.

There are a lot of comic scenes which doesn’t bore you on any of the episodes. Even the cringy parts are enjoyable to watch.

Henry Lau and Jung Hey-sung give this KDrama a fresh comic vibe every time they appear on the screen.

It’s nice to see that they’ve allotted an episode to check on how all the characters, including the support characters, are doing in the end.

To make the story more interesting, at the end, they showed that So Ji-sub and Shin Min-a characters have already met before.

There are also some epic scenes in this KDrama.

Romantic comedies like this KDrama make me rank this genre only behind romantic comedies with action.

I highly recommend Oh My Venus if you’re looking for KDramas from 2015 or are just looking for romantic comedy KDramas.

CONs:

  • There’s nothing really bad to say about this Korean drama but there’s also nothing special I think about it as well.

More on Persevere, Goo Hae-Ra

I think that this is the first time I watched a Mnet Korean drama.

I specifically enjoy watching scenes when Shim Hyung-Tak’s character appears. I think this is what kept me watching the entire series.

Henry, who I like as a Kdrama actor, was here but he doesn’t seem to have that impact or that significant in this Kdrama.

“Persevere, Goo Hae-Ra” ended up on my list just because I was able to watch all the episodes.

If you’re a fan of the stars in this show and like music genres, I recommend watching this Korean drama.

More on Remember

I like watching Remember although it’s not quite the Kdrama that I thought it would be.

I usually look for awesome scenes or epic moments but I don’t remember anything. I still did look forward to the next episode. It’s probably because I just looked forward to how this KDrama will end.

This could’ve been an easy 4 of 5 for me but I decided to give it a 3 since there are no memorable scenes for me.

Namkoong Min had a great performance here as well. It feels like he’s the MVP in this Kdrama.

I’d still recommend this Kdrama especially because of the cast they have lined up.

  • It’s something different. Historical drama with vampires.
  • Has a happy ending.

CONs:

  • There’s nothing too bad to say about this Kdrama.

More on The Scholar Who Walks the Night

Lee Yu-bi both look cute and beautiful. When she plays as a female, she looks beautiful. And when she plays as a male, she looks cute.

Kim So-eun is always beautiful. It’s just sad that her character and the king were not together at the end of the Kdrama.

The prince’s role was a bit annoying in the early to mid episodes. It’s nice that it turned around at the later episodes.

I enjoyed watching The Scholar Who Walks the Night. There were a few great scenes here and there.

I recommend it as one of the better Kdramas from 2015.

More on She Was Pretty

I enjoyed watching She Was Pretty very much.

Some of the actors that I like are here like Hwang Jung-eum, Park Seo-joon, Choi Si-won, and Shin Hye-sun.

Choi Si-won’s character is fun to watch.

I’m amazed that whenever Hwang Jung-eun cries, you kind of feel that she’s really sad. She’s an amazing actor in my opinion.

I like light Kdramas like this. I don’t mind it in She Was Pretty because it’s enjoyable to watch.

I give it 4 of 5 stars and I highly recommend it.

  • Action scenes are nicely choreographed.
  • The story is OK.
  • There are frequent comic or funny scenes.
  • Has a happy ending.

CONs:

  • Although it’s a happy ending, I don’t think that it was great enough for the entire series.

More on Shine or Go Crazy

I liked and enjoyed watching “Shine And Go Crazy.”

It’s been quite sometime now that I’ve given a Kdrama a 5 of 5. It’s a good thing that I came across this.

I like watching Jang Hyuk and Oh Yeon-seo are both cute and pretty at the same time. It’s very eye-pleasing when she’s on camera.

The scenes between the 2 main leads were always interesting and fun to watch.

Even the flashbacks were nicely placed or done. Some Kdramas usually over do this and it sometimes gets boring.

I enjoyed this Kdrama so much that I could’ve binge-watched it. I looked forward to the next episode.

The only thing that’s a drawback for me is the ending. I don’t think that the ending was great enough to show how awesome the whole series was.

But it didn’t pull my rating that much since it’s still a happy ending.

I highly recommend watching “Shine And Go Crazy.”

  • Good acting by the 3 lead actors.
  • Has a semi-happy ending.
  • Lots of fun and comic scenes.
  • Has good life lessons.
  • Good soundtracks.

CONs:

  • Has a semi-happy ending.

More on Super Daddy Yeol

I liked watching Super Daddy Yeol. I’m not into family genres but I like this Kdrama.

Lee Re was good at this Kdrama.

I am charmed with Lee Yoo-ri. She seems to be built for doing comedy, family, romance dramas. I hope I can watch her in more characters like this.

I first saw her in the Korean variety show, Knowing Brothers. She was very charming there.

Super Daddy Yeol could’ve been a 5 of 5 for me but the ending put me a little off so I gave this Kdrama a 4.

I just hoped that the writers gave Lee Yoo-ri’s character a miracle since they mentioned “miracle” a number of times in other episodes already.

Or they could’ve ended it with a more positive note with regards to her disease.

In any case, this Super Daddy Yeol is highly recommended regardless if you’re into family genres or not.

A Girl Who Sees Smells Best Korean Dramas 2015

31. A Girl Who Sees Smells

My Score: 3 of 5

PROs:

  • This Kdrams seems to have an all-star cast. I like the actors in this Kdrama.
  • It has a happy ending.
  • The ability of Shin Se-kyung’s character is different compared to other Kdrama characters I’ve watched.

CONs:

  • There aren’t any bad things that I can think of.

More on A Girl Who Sees Smells

I enjoyed watching “A Girl Who See Smells.” It’s something different and new.

Although nothing really stands out, it’s still fun to watch. It seems to be lighthearted but the character played by Namgoong Min gave this a turnaround.

I can see it being binge-watched but not enough epic scenes to give it the impact it deserves.

Sweet moments between Park Yoo-chun and Shin Se-kyung are nice.

I may have mentioned this before but Shin Se-kyung always reminds me of EXID’s Solji.

“A Girl Who Sees Smells” is a fun Kdrama from 2015 to watch. I recommend it!

Conclusion

These are just some of the Korean dramas from 2015 that I’ve watched.

I enjoyed watching these and would recommend everyone to try watching them as well.

Some of these have good re-watch value too so you may want to binge-watch them on your slow free day.
